Prayer Team Agreement
Welcome to the Set Apart Ministries Prayer Team! This is a dedicated group of intercessors who stand in the gap for others, wielding the power of prayer as a spiritual weapon against the forces of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). We are a Bible-based team, committed to the truth of God's Word. We do not judge based on background or history—what matters is your love for God’s Word, your commitment to living in its truth (John 17:17), and your willingness to stand in spiritual battle (2 Corinthians 10:4). Because we are a team of prayer warriors, joining this team without first being baptized in water is not recommended (Mark 16:16). We encourage you to take the important step of publicly professing your faith on your own behalf before joining and interceding for others.
This is not a VIP prayer group. This team has been created to strengthen the defenses for Set Apart Ministries and the Church as a whole (Ephesians 4:12). Our mission is to grow, reclaim territory from the enemy, and bring transformation—starting with hearts and expanding to nations for the Lord (Matthew 28:19-20). We stand as warriors in the kingdom of God, united in faith and purpose (Philippians 1:27).
Statement of Faith and Commitment
As a member of this team, I declare and agree to the following:
Jesus Christ is Lord – I confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), the Son of God who came in the flesh (1 John 4:2-3), and the One who holds all authority in heaven and earth (Matthew 28:18). My allegiance is to Him alone.
I am Led by the Holy Spirit – I seek to live by the Spirit (Galatians 5:16) and produce the fruits of righteousness, rejecting all works of the flesh (Galatians 5:19-21).
I Renounce All Darkness – I renounce all past agreements with darkness, including witchcraft, false religions, secret societies, and any other unholy covenants (2 Corinthians 6:14-17). I sever any ties to the kingdom of darkness in the name of Jesus Christ (Luke 10:19).
I Take the Role of an Intercessor Seriously – I understand the weight of standing in the gap for others (Ezekiel 22:30) and commit to fervent and effective prayer (James 5:16).
I Believe in the Power of Prayer – I affirm that prayer is a spiritual weapon that brings breakthrough, healing, and deliverance (Ephesians 6:17, Mark 11:24).
I Declare the Kingdom of God – I acknowledge that the Kingdom of God is within us (Luke 17:21), within our families, and over all who declare Jesus Christ as Lord. I stand firm in the promise that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the righteous take back what the enemy has stolen (Matthew 11:12).
I Stay Active in Fellowship – I commit to participating in our group chat regularly, acknowledging messages, engaging in prayer updates, and sharing the prayer team with others in need (Hebrews 10:25). While daily participation is encouraged, occasional missed days are understood, as life happens. Our team communicates primarily through WhatsApp, and members are expected to stay engaged through this platform.
I Commit to Fasting – I will participate in fasting at least three times a month, with the Daniel Fast as the minimum standard (Matthew 6:16-18, Isaiah 58:6).
I Submit to Spiritual Accountability – I will remain teachable and accountable to the leadership of this team. If correction is needed, I will submit to the biblical process outlined in Matthew 18:15-17.
I Acknowledge My Spiritual Authority – I understand that I am seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6) and that I war from a place of victory, not defeat (James 4:7).
I Commit to a Servant’s Heart – I acknowledge that the only way to be lifted up in the Kingdom is to humble myself as a servant (Matthew 23:11-12). I will seek to grow continually in the Lord by surrendering my fleshly desires (Galatians 2:20), multiplying in fruit, knowledge, and understanding (Colossians 1:10), and remaining hungry for righteousness rather than stagnant in my faith (Matthew 5:6).
I Uphold Confidentiality and Restraint – This prayer team is not a gossip chain. Any and all prayer requests shared within this group are private and confidential, intended solely for the purpose of intercession (Proverbs 11:13). Being part of this team requires spiritual maturity, self-control, and the ability to bridle the tongue (James 3:5-6). Exercising restraint over the flesh is a mark of true discipleship (Galatians 5:22-23).
I Have a Personal Relationship with the Lord – This prayer team is for individuals who already have an established relationship with the Lord and a committed prayer life (Psalm 91:1, Matthew 6:6). Members should already have a secret place with the Lord—dedicated, personal time spent in His presence. This team is an extension of that prayer life, expanding prayers to cover a larger territory. If you are new to prayer and do not yet have a scheduled time with the Lord, we encourage you to develop that discipline first and then join the team when ready (Luke 5:16, Mark 1:35).
By acknowledging this agreement, I confirm that I have read and understood the principles outlined in this document. I willingly submit to these commitments before the Lord, knowing that my participation in this team is not just a role, but a spiritual assignment under the covering of God Almighty.
If you agree to these terms, please fill out the fields below, and you will be added to the prayer team.
